The Pool:   D/R/E: 3.4 miles - elevation gain 150'
Hiking Distance Is The Total Length Of The Hike

Arch Rocks, which probably fell from the cliffs above rather than being deposited by retreating glaciers, are interesting megaliths along the trail. The Pool is a wide spot where a bridge crosses the Big Thompson River, providing a sturdy platform for viewing swirling patterns of white water. Stop here for a picnic lunch. It's a great hike for kids or people just arriving at the park.
