Bear Lake (HA):   D/R/E: .65 mile loop - 25' elevation gain
Hiking Distance Is The Total Length Of The Hike

This short, wheelchair-accessible stroll around Bear Lake is ideal for families with small children or people having difficulty adjusting to the altitude. There are beautiful views of Hallet Peak behind the southwest shore and Long's Peak behind the opposite shore. At the beginning of the trail, you can buy a very informative, self-guiding nature trail book which is well worth the $2.00 to learn about the lake and all it has to offer. There are many benches along the trail, so that you can sit and enjoy the spectacular scenery!
